Soviet Gas Mask. Adopted in 1973, it remains in use today by some military units within the CIS. This gas mask is classified as a filter-free model, designed for convenience. Unlike other masks, it doesn't have a heavy and bulky box that hinders tank driving or running. When firing, aiming from a machine gun or rifle becomes challenging due to the cheek resting on the butt with a filter attached. It looks both scary and comical at the same time. Seeing someone wearing this mask late at night might cause fear or laughter. The mask smells like the Soviet era, something amusing but effective. Its concept was borrowed from American gas masks, as was much of their technology in the 1970s in the USSR.
