Soviet A-19 122mm gun - 28mm scale
thingiverse
This is a 28mm scale (1/56th) model of the Soviet A-19 Model 1931 field gun. It's a rework of kpi1986's outstanding file of the same gun, showcasing impressive accuracy and attention to detail. The A-19 was the backbone of medium field artillery for the Red Army, remaining in use in different versions well into the Cold War era. I designed this model specifically for use on the Bolt Action gaming table, where it serves as both a medium field gun and a heavy anti-tank gun. I accessed the original file, separating the gun barrel and breech area from the carriage to achieve better definition. I created an axle and reinforced the vertical hydraulic recoil cylinders and the carriage itself; I detailed the wheel hubs and tires, added a hand wheel on the right side of the gun (where an elevation wheel is located), and modified the spades on the end of the gun trails. I printed this model on a fine setting with rafts. As always, be cautious when removing support material to avoid damage. You'll find that the wheels fit snugly into the hubs, so clean out the center of each wheel thoroughly. I glued the gun to the carriage using epoxy for added stability.
