Southern Pride - aka Heritage Not Hate
pinshape
I thought, in the interest of fairness and balance, as guaranteed by the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States (at least for now), I'd present an opposing view to those expressed by the creator of the original piece that inspired this remix. Rather than simply copying someone else's work, I wanted my contribution to stand out from the crowd. To achieve this, I designed it to be printed in multiple colors and assembled like a puzzle. The stars and stripes are printed in white, the cross is printed in blue, and the field is printed in red. You have two options for the base: print the version 1 base with the text as one unit, starting in grey and then switching to white once the letters start printing. Alternatively, you can print the version 2 base in grey and then print the letters separately in white, adjusting their scale slightly depending on your printer to account for any slop that might affect a good fit. The letters will then press into the base, creating a recessed look. I plan to print this when I get the chance, but if anyone else prints it, I'd love to see photos of their creations. Peace...
