Rough model of the exterior boundary wall of South Leith Parish Church, now temporarily removed for tram works in Constitution Street. The A-listed wall dates back to 1790. Walls, gatepiers and railings: tall rubble walls enclose the churchyard, while ashlar and render line Constitution Street with corniced blind arches set within channelled and cusped jambs; octagonal panelled gatepiers mark entrances on Kirkgate and Constitution Street; fleur-de-lis railings and gates add a touch of elegance. http://portal.historicenvironment.scot/designation/LB27466 For more information about the archaeological work conducted at this site, visit the links below: https://archaeologydataservice.ac.uk/library/browse/issue.xhtml?recordId=1126772&recordType=GreyLitSeries https://slpc.co.uk
