South Carolina — American Tier III battleship. The United States Navy's first dreadnought was a groundbreaking ship, despite its limited size and capabilities. It carried a relatively weak armament and had a slow speed compared to other battleships of its time. However, the South Carolina was the first of her class to feature superfiring turrets, which allowed it to fire a full broadside with all main battery guns.
