I replaced a worn-out part on my South Bend lathe model 9C with a new one made of ABS PLA, which is possibly stronger. I created it in two halves and bonded them together using ABS juice. The lathe features an 8 TPI acme leadscrew that's 3/4 inch long, and the chaser gear has 32 teeth. I'll have more parts available for this same lathe soon, including change gears, a cross slide nut, and a top slide handle. I also plan to replace any missing or worn-out pieces. My South Bend lathe was manufactured between 1937 and 1940. **Print Settings** This part supports high-resolution printing with a minimum resolution of 0.1mm and a maximum of 0.2mm. The infill density is set at 100%. After assembling the two halves, I left them overnight before using an 8mm drill to create the hole. Then, I ran an 8mm expanding reamer through it. You can use either 8mm or 5/16 inch rod for this assembly. The mounting hole is 3/8 inches deep, as specified by the SB9C lathe manual.
