This replacement part is specifically designed for a South Bend Lathe model 9C, which I recently acquired, and the original part was missing, prompting me to create a new one using ABS PLA, which might be even stronger than the original. The new part was manufactured in two separate halves that were then glued together with ABS juice for added stability. I will continue to produce replacement parts for this lathe model, including change gears, cross slide nuts, top slide handles, and any other components that may be missing or worn out due to age or heavy use. It's worth noting that my South Bend Lathe was manufactured between 1937 and 1940.
