I just received a replacement part for my South Bend lathe model 9C, which was missing. To make a replacement, I created it out of ABS PLA, possibly stronger than the original. The part is split into two halves and glued together with ABS juice. Photos I used are from the internet since I didn't have one to copy. It works well because there's little load on the lever. I'll be making more parts for this lathe, including change gears, a cross slide nut, a top slide handle, and whatever else is missing or worn out. My South Bend lathe was manufactured between 1937 and 1940. After printing, you may need to clean up the dia that fits into the hole in the apron, depending on your printer.
