South Bend Heavy 10 Metric Transposing Gear Set
thingiverse
Note that my printer prints diameters .020" oversize so the ID holes are .020" larger than line to line fit of 3/4" ID on the transposing gear and 5/8" ID on the spur gears. You will need at minimum the transposing gear and spacer for the threading gear. The standard gear is a 40t and you can cut 1.25 pitch threads with that. You will need the other gears as well to make different pitches. The smaller gears replace the top left gear in the picture. This only works with a South Bend Heavy 10 that has the two lever quick change gear box. Once installed you cannot use the threading indicator on your lathe, the half nut must stay engaged and you must power in and out of the work piece. This is because the transposing gear creates a different ratio that the threading indicator is not geared for.
