sous vide float
thingiverse
I tested these at room temperature and no water infiltration occurred, however, the first cycle my son used them with sous vide and all had water infiltrate, many just sank to the bottom. So I'm putting this on hold as a work in progress, planning to try different slicing settings, possibly post annealing, and maybe simply changing the design to an open type. These floats will reduce heat loss from the top surface of the water while sous vide cooking food sealed in a vacuum bag, so no concern about food safety. Sliced in S3D in vase mode. PET covered heated glass bed at 90 C, extruder at 250 C. Two degrees in either direction caused part failure and loss of clarity. ColorFabb HT
