This is a scale model of a high-seas submarine of the Brumaire type (1912-1921), named Faraday. The hull is made of varnished wood with two French flags on it. Iron wire is used to decorate the top and highlight the upper deck infrastructure.\nThe Faraday submarine, of the Brumaire type, was launched on June 27, 1911, then withdrawn from service in 1921. It was built in 1906 at Rochefort, according to the plans of engineers Lauboeuf and Lévy. Built for the French national navy just before World War I, the Brumaire class is a class of sixteen submarines that all participated in the war.
