Soundhole Humbucker PAF Holder for Acoustic Guitar
thingiverse
This is a holder for a humbucker (hum canceling magnetic pickup) to be mounted on an acoustic guitar so you could digitize/record your music. Since it's a magnetic pickup, it works only on guitars with strings made of magnetic metals, such as steel and nickel. A humbucker pickup enhances output and reduces noises, which is normally used in a high-end commercial soundhole pickup. This will transform your acoustic guitar to an electric-acoustic guitar. Hopefully you'll enjoy this thing, and let me know if you have suggestions. The current design fits in a 100-mm (diameter) guitar soundhole with a 3-mm thick top. There are three holes at the bottom for wiring the circuit. I drilled a hole at the bottom of my guitar to accommodate an audio jack. You could also run the wires over the top of the guitar and connect it to a mono audio jack or plug. I use a common studio recording cable to connect it to a USB port on my computer (GarageBand works).
