The Outcast Junior speaker by Soundcast is a great portable speaker. But -- it uses a NiMH battery pack. Rather than buy a replacement battery pack, I wanted to convert it to use three 18650 Lion cells. (The speaker will work well with voltages as low as around 9 volts.) This project is the 3D printed battery case; it holds the three 18650 cells. The model has two recessed pockets on the bottom to hold copper rectangles that make the electrical connection with the speaker power terminals. I cut two copper pieces from a 0.003 inch thick copper sheet, and set them in with a soldering iron (to heat them up). I printed this with PETG. The model has room to hold the 4-pin JST connector for charging.
