Sound Hole Preamp Mount for Fishman 301 presys in Camps M1S guitar
thingiverse
I own a Camps M1S classical guitar that I was determined to upgrade with a preamp without compromising its integrity. Drilling a large square hole in the body wasn't an option, so I came up with a solution to mount my Fishman Presys 301 preamp on the sound hole itself. This project is still ongoing, but I'm making progress. To ensure proper installation, one side of the mount needs to be removed due to its proximity to the fret location. I'll address this in a future update. Initially, closing the sound hole affected the guitar's acoustic sound, so I need to add holes to the plastic mount during my next workshop session. A hexagonal honeycomb pattern would give it an impressive look. The preamp mount fits perfectly on the guitar due to precise measurements, but sometimes it comes loose while playing and touching the strings. To resolve this issue, I'm looking for a solution such as a locker unit, bolt, or mechanism that securely locks the preamp around the sound hole. In addition to mounting the preamp, I've also installed an output jack at the bottom of the guitar (6.5mm) and a tiny piezo hole under the saddle. I invite you to enjoy music!
