This is a mod for the headphone encoder knob of Sound Devices' MixPre recorder lineup. The tiny, hard-to-reach original encoder knob makes it difficult to operate when inside a bag. The mod simply presses onto the original encoder knob, features rounded corners, and fits seamlessly with the MixPre's sleek design. It allows for effortless control and is a significant upgrade in my opinion. I use this mod on my own MixPre-6. IMPORTANT: This mod is designed as a press fit, so it may slightly damage the original encoder knob when applied. The strong connection that results has the added benefit of eliminating the need for a setscrew or glue. Use at your own risk. Commercial use is not allowed.
