Sound Dampeners for Teenii T1 Mechanical Keypad
thingiverse
#July 24, 2022 Thingiverse is getting worse and worse by the day. Many features have been broken for ages, and MakerBot clearly doesn't care about fixing them. View counts don't work, editing model descriptions is a pain, and now my recent uploads from the past month aren't showing up in search results. I can't even see them in my profile. This website is broken and shows no sign of improving. I've left up my Thingiverse posts, but have removed most of the STL files. You can [download my models](https://www.printables.com/social/318555-russell-wong/models) from Printables.com, and I'll get points to use toward Prusa filament. All of my future work will be available there. [Sound Dampeners for Teenii T1 Mechanical Keypad on printables.com](https://www.printables.com/model/247413-sound-dampeners-for-teenii-t1-mechanical-keypad) -- These sound dampeners are for the Teenii T1 Mechanical Keypad. It's a great device, but makes some truly horrible noises when the keycaps make contact with the metal frame. Instead of adding o-rings to the keycap stems, I designed TPU sound dampers that fit around the switch clusters. When the switches are pressed, all four sides make contact with the dampeners, which absorb the impact and prevent the awful clacking sound. These probably won't fit any other keyboards or keypads, but I thought I'd post them to give people ideas (and, of course, for other Teenii T1 owners).
