Character souls are fragments of a person's being that exist beyond their mortal life. These souls are drawn to and inhabit weapons forged by meisters - young warriors who train at Death City's prestigious Witch's Academy, where they learn the art of harvesting human souls to add to their arsenal. The primary mission of meisters is to collect 99 Kishin souls and one Evil Egg soul in order to become a powerful Kishin, a being capable of shaping reality.
