Soul Drill: Hand cranked squeeze drill

The first ones were mirrored.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The drill was inspired by push drills such as this one by LoboCNC: <a href="https://www.printables.com/model/132326-push-drill-with-adjustable-chuck">https://www.printables.com/model/132326-push-drill-with-adjustable-chuck</a></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>The chuck is based on this one made by BManx2000 with a slight modification to the shaft: <a href="https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2625085">https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2625085</a></p><p>This is my third and best iteration of the model.&nbsp;</p><p>BOM:</p><p>2x 608RS Ball Bearings (8x22x7)</p><p>2x 693ZZ Mini Ball Bearings (3x8x4) (You could print a bushing of the same size instead)</p><p>Misc. Screws (I used what I had on hand, mostly M2 and M3)</p><p>Spring or elastic band (The stronger the spring, the stronger the drill but it makes it harder to pull. Experimenting is key. I don't have a particular model to recommend as I modified a spring I found)</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Printing:</p><p>PLA (mostly)</p><p>PETG (I used PETG for the chuck as it gives a better grip on the drill bit, PLA should be fine though)</p><p>I printed with 5 walls thickness with a 20% infill, but these can be experimented with.&nbsp;</p><p>Supports are needed for most parts, it will be obvious.</p><p>Consider buying me coffee!</p><p>https://www.buymeacoffee.com/franksoul</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p>
