SOSS sells their own jig, made of wood, but I wasn't sure how to use it when putting the hinge at the edge of the door. Since I'm gluing a surface to the front of the door, the 1/4 inch clearance isn't enough and I need to move the hinge to the farthest possible spot. This jig is designed to mount the hinge with wood on only three sides. You could always move the clamp location by one-quarter inch and use it normally. However, this design matches the install spec exactly, so you may need to adjust if you're printing in a filament that shrinks. I printed it in ABS, so I just scaled it up one percent and that works. I left the little wings for the deeper cut at 100%. To use this jig, you'll need a 1/4 inch upcut endmill and a router with a 3/4in (19mm) bushing guide. Since I have a Makita trim router, I used these guides: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3397798/files You will need a long style endmill since you need to cut to the bottom of the channel according to the SOSS instructions. I designed this jig based on the spec of the SOSS install guide, which uses 3/4in bushings as well. The snap-in wings are used to block the sides so you can route out the deeper pocket (1 15/32 deep). You can see in the photos that I had to drill some screws into the jig to hold it in place since I couldn't use clamps on the doorframe.
