Sorting Storage Box With Removable Containers
grabcad
Designed in FreeCAD. This is my attempt at a sorting box, and was inspired by the sorting box designed by Alexandre Chappel. It is designed to use a grid to keep the individual containers in position. Two sets of grids and containers are included, 1.5 and 2 inch grid sizes. Containers are 1x1, 1x2, 2x2, 2x3 for both grid sizes, and 1x3, 1x4 for 1.5 inch grids. The box is designed to be made from 9mm Baltic Birch plywood with square cuts only. The box is assembled with screws, nuts and corner parts. The containers, grids, and box hardware are all intended to be 3D printed, so STL files are include. A sheet of 2mm EVA foam attached to the inside of the lid cushions the containers and will prevent items from falling out of the containers when the lid is closed. To secure the lid magnets provide positive holds for the sliding latches.
