Sorting Boxes

thingiverse gs242 3233175 Free

A full assortment of boxes. Since i'm rebuilding my garage I wanted a good way to store my screws, nuts, bolts and special tools. So i created a grid system with boxes. All of these boxes is equipped with a small "handle" and a recess for 9 mm labels. The recess also protects the label since they don't always stick great to printed surfaces.

The 1X1-box is 52.8 mm X 52.8 mm so they fit will in a 53 mm X 53 mm grid. Each 53 mm X 53 mm space is called a module.

Files are available in all combinations up to 4X4 modules.
The idea is to also make custom trays for some tools and accessories, e.g.: rivets and rivet gun in a 4x2 box with two layers.

Also added pictures of a cabinet with drawers suitable for these boxes. Each drawer holds 100 Modules. Each Column of Drawers holds 1100 Modules. The whole cabinet holds 4400 Modules and will not be filled at once, rather at need when i know what each drawer will hold.

If people want drawings of the cabinet I'll try to find the time.
Would be very appreciated with a small coffee-donation if you like the project.
Feel free to remix to fit your needs.

Added Solidworks Files to ease of remix. If you want any other neutral format like step, binary or so just comment and I'll uploaded it for you. All the Sizes of the boxes are in the configurations in the Solidworks file.

EDIT 2020-04-02: Working on adding all thicknesses to all the boxes. Will soon be uploaded to thingiverse.
