The Sopwith Camel, a single-seat biplane fighter introduced in WWI 1917, was produced by the Sopwith Aviation Company. Its characteristics included a short-coupled fuselage, heavy rotary engine, and twin synchronized machine guns. Though challenging to manoeuvre, skilled pilots praised its unparalleled agility; it downed 1,294 enemy planes, a record for WWI Allied fighters. Additionally, the Camel was deployed as a ground-assault aircraft towards war's end when it became outmatched in air combat by emerging fighter models. The aircraft featured 6 textures (3 diffuse and 3 spec maps), rendered with Cycles in Blender 3D at resolutions of up to 4096x4096.
