This is my first time tackling a ukulele project. I attempted to print the Gourd Shaped Ukulele posted on Thingiverse but couldn't figure out how to get it working with my printer. This design can be printed using a 5 x 8 minimum printer platform without needing any supports. I used PLA and was impressed by how sturdy the structure turned out to be. The neck is attached to the body via a 10-24 x 1-1/2 L socket head cap screw, washer, and nut in the lower hole. A 10-24 x 3 L pan head screw is used in the upper hole for added neck strength. Four different insert types are offered, and you can pick one to snap into the top hole. To achieve a secure fit, place both pieces on a flat surface and gently tap them together. The ukulele's top and fretboard are connected using #6 x 1/2 L flat head wood screws. Standard friction type pegs are used for the tuning pegs. The strings pass through curved holes at the top of the fretboard before being twist-wrapped in place. The bridge is loose and should be glued or attached into its designated slot to prevent shifting, which can cause a snapping sound when playing. If your tuning pegs have small hex tops, you'll need to use the provided washers for secure fitment. Additionally, a smaller replacement tuning knob is included if needed. This ukulele requires six distinct parts: the body, top, fretboard, neck, hole, and bridge.
