Soprano(+8) recorder, cylindrical bore

Soprano(+8) recorder, cylindrical bore

thingiverse

A straight bore soprano recorder is showcased here, featuring standard English fingering unlike recorders from the baroque era and onwards. It offers a sophisticated tone with considerable chromaticism but at the cost of intricate fingering. The recorder can be fabricated using ABS printing and welding via acetone; it's available in full, 3-piece, 4-piece, 5-piece, or 6-piece versions based on printer capacity. For best results, a 5-piece version is recommended with 100% infill, although some pieces may require tape to prevent loosening during printing. Acetone is used to weld two pieces together by dipping them for 20 seconds and joining firmly; safety precautions are advised. This instrument was designed using the open-source package Demakein (http://www.logarithmic.net/pfh/design).
