this is a rear support for a glass shelf in an atma brand non-freeze refrigerator. the shelves are typically supported by runners (one front and one back) that slide into the side guides. these runners are extremely expensive and difficult to obtain, and frequently break. i think this is a type of straightedge that slides into the same rear notch in the side guide and supports the glass in a more optimal way, as it also makes contact with the lateral side of the refrigerator (*). it can be used on either side. (*) the model in the photo is my first version and does not come close to supporting itself against the side, something that i have since fixed in the finished product which i will share soon
