This is a case for the Sony Xperia Z5. It also features a unique accommodation for a two-way USB stick, allowing for use with Android phones and PCs. Update: Added a version without a USB slot. An experimental tripod mount is available for use with this case on thingiverse.com/thing:1141848. Video footage can be accessed through youtu.be/wIIqc-1Wreg (upload incomplete at the time of writing). The hole can also serve as a location for a lanyard or webbing strap. Future upgrades will include a tripod mount and potentially a rifle scope mount, so users are encouraged to stay informed. It is crucial to note that this design is specifically intended for ABS plastic, while PLA may not produce optimal results unless the print size is scaled up slightly. Previous designs made of ABS plastic had led to disastrous outcomes due to movement and grit accumulation over time. To prevent similar issues with this case, users are highly recommended to fit a screen protector on both the front and back before use. Source files for this project are included in inventor 2015 format. An option exists for printing a version of the case without a USB slot. The suggested print settings include: Rafts: No Supports: Doesn't Matter Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Honeycomb at 40% Notably, it is suggested to use a honeycomb fill of 40% for the back and rectilinear layers on the top and bottom. Further notes advise users to suggest using 3mm brim, only requiring support for thumb groves in USB holder if necessary. Top and bottom clamps should be filled at 100% or as rectangular fillings. Following print completion: Users should employ a knife for gentle work to remove brims and achieve overall cleaning - largely depending on printer options. A light brushing of acetone is likely to smoothen out lumps and bumps, potentially reducing delamination over time, ideal for an experienced user's touch. This design process involved utilizing Autocad 2010 for the initial two-dimensional outline, later extruding and refining it within Inventor 2015.
