Cupholder phone mount for Sony XZ2 in a cover. This cupholder phone mount for Sony XZ2 smartphone is an adaptation of one of my very first designs, made specifically for a phone WITH a PU cover on it. Honestly, who uses a phone like this without any cover for protection? This design was created for my car (MB C350e, w205) and fits perfectly in the cupholder. The cupholder itself is an option you can buy at any MB dealer. Of course, this mount will work in other cupholders as well. The phone sits securely in this mount, but I plan to update it since the backside of the XZ2 is rounded. This would improve the fit and make the phone feel just a little bit tighter in place. Sideways movement is fine, but height-wise, the phone can shift slightly when pressing near either the bottom or top of the screen due to the rounded shape of the backside. Print Settings Printer: XYZ printing DaVinci1.0 Pro Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .20 Infill: 10% honeycomb Notes: You can always increase or decrease resolution to your liking. I've printed this in Polymaker PC-Max, and the results are fantastic! After printing, clean up any strings of filament and soften rough edges as desired. How I Designed This 123Design Honestly, this was a trial-and-error design. The shape of the XZ2 is challenging for an amateur like myself. After about 4 prints, I was happy with the results.
