The holder plate is designed for universal car mounts, specifically fitting the Xperia T model. In October 2013, a revised version of the mount was created with improved sturdiness after the original slim PLA version melted in the car. The design accommodates the phone well, but could offer more space around the camera. To enhance release ease, increase the top beam thickness for better spring rate. The model was crafted using Autodesk Inventor Fusion and created due to a need for a landscape-oriented mount for dashcam recording purposes.
