I'm building a USB dock for my Sony MP3 player - This is the first time I've tackled designing and publishing a 3D printed useful object. The dock is designed in two parts to conceal and enclose the USB cable. To secure the cable, I employed a small butane torch to carefully heat the PLA surrounding the tie, knowing that it melts before Nylon does, then tightened it so the tie clears the base and everything lies flat on my bedside table.
