Sony RX0 II (M2) Mic Cold Shoe
thingiverse
I made an external microphone cold shoe mount for the Sony RX0 II using 3D printing. I tried to design it so that it wouldn't interfere with any of the camera's functions, such as flipping the screen or replacing the battery, and it doesn't obstruct the use of a tripod. It simply relies on mechanical friction to stay in place, but if you want it to be more secure, you can add a thin layer of foam inside or use double-sided tape. I recommend printing it with black material for a more seamless look, although I used green for easier photo taking during testing. There are two design versions available, and you can choose the one that suits your needs best. If you have a tripod handle, I suggest using version 2, as it is also compact enough to store when not in use. I tested it with a RODE VideoMicro microphone and think that pairing it with the upcoming ultra-miniature RODE wireless microphone will be even more convenient.
