Sony PlayStation VR Low-poly 3D model
cgtrader
It is the high-quality low-poly 3D model that Sony PlayStation VR used in various fields of 3D Graphics such as game development, advertising, interior design, motion picture art, visualization, etc.. The model was made by taking ortho-photos of a real VR headset which is why all details of design are recreated most authentically. Ease of use is that the model consists of only a few meshes, it's low-polygonal (saving resources on your system) and has two materials (for lenses and goggles body). The competently thought-over topology low-poly model in combination with detailed textures allows for a minimum amount of polygons to get the maximum quality, which can be enough even for close-up. For increased advanced realism, in addition to these textures, specular, glossiness, bump, and emission are used for the luminous elements of the model (for example, screens, indicators, etc.). If you use V-Ray renderer and V-Ray MTL material set BRDF Type as Phong for correct glossiness effect. To get a correct reflecting effect, set Use Fresnel and Fresnel IOR is 5. For best bump depth, set Bump Multiplier to 0.1 - 0.2. The specular and glossiness maps set various reflective and dispersing capacities of the different areas of model that gives the effect of using more materials. A total of five main textures are used, all with a resolution of 4096 pixels square in .png format. Also, there is an original texture file in .PSD format available in particular archive. The model is presented in three basic poses - one with small headband size, one with big headband size and another for use on a 3D male head. You can also move the front scope forward or backward for best position, simply by translating Sony__PlayStation_VR_googles_group01. The model was created using 'Maya 2009' 3D program. All parts of the model are correctly grouped and named with accurate dimensions in real-world scale in centimeters. An adjusted render-scene is also available that was created in Maya 2014 with renderer plug-in V-Ray 2.40. This scene correctly opens in earlier versions up to Maya 2012 with V-Ray 2.0 because it is saved in the .ma format. The V-Ray MTL material is assigned to the model. On Timeline, set keys of model and Render Camera position relevant Preview Images. If you don't need these positions, remember to delete animation keys from translation and rotation channels. Additionally, a scene with HDRI lighting has been rendered for more visual realism presentation and better understanding of material characteristic and geometry. However, this scene is not included in the sale. To use the model in other 3D programs, scenes are saved in formats such as .fbx, .obj, .DAE, .max (2010 version). Note: This is a Low-Poly model and it's not designed for use with any smoothing modifiers.
