The high-quality low-poly 3D model of the Sony Dualshock 3 wireless controller is used in a variety of fields, including 3D graphics. It was created by using ortho-photos of a real controller to ensure all details of the design are recreated with precision. One advantage of this model is its ease of use due to the fact that it consists of just one mesh and has only one material. This makes it easy to integrate into various 3D projects, saving resources on system usage. Regardless of the renderer used, this model will always look realistic because of its high-quality resolution photo-textures. The low-poly model's competently thought-out topology combined with detailed textures allows for a minimum amount of polygons while still achieving maximum quality. In addition to regular textures, the model also uses Specular, Glossiness, Bump, and Emission maps to enhance advanced realism, particularly for luminous elements such as screens and indicators. To achieve optimal bump depth in software materials like Maya or V-Ray MTL materials for Maya, the Bump Multiplier should be set between 0.1 and 0.2. The model features five main textures with a resolution of 4096 pixels squared and are saved in .png format. Additionally, the archive includes an original texture file in PSD format. The entire model was created using 'Maya 2009' and comes with real-world scale in centimeters along with correctly named parts. An adjusted render-scene is included for users of Maya 2014 and features a V-Ray plugin, version 2.40. This scene also opens properly in earlier versions up to Maya 2012 when using V-Ray 2.0 due to being saved as an .ma format. The render-scene includes five V-Ray Rect Light plus reflectors, along with the assignment of V-Ray MTL material and model position on Timeline for preview images. To ensure usability across different 3D programs, the archive includes scenes in formats like .fbx, .obj, .DAE, and .max (2010 version). Please note that this is a low-poly model not intended to be used with smoothing modifiers.
