Sony NEX-7 Cable Remote Adapter

The NEX-7 is an impressive camera, yet it has certain drawbacks. One issue arises when capturing bracketed shots; holding down the trigger can cause camera shake, especially during long exposure times at night. Moreover, the IR remote cannot trigger bracketing photos. Hopefully, Sony will rectify this in a future firmware update, but until then, the Thing offers a solution. To use it, purchase a cable release and a compatible Velcro adapter (e.g., from Amazon: http://goo.gl/fmeA6O). Remove the metal adapter from the Velcro strap, ensuring it fits a 1cm hole. If needed, adjust the OpenSCAD file with your measurements. Securely place the ring around the lens flange base, preferably without the lens attached during attachment.
