Sony NEX-5 Camera Screen Sun Shield

I've had this camera for years and it's still one of my favorites, but shooting pictures in bright sunlight has always been a challenge because mine doesn't have a viewfinder that's up to par. So, I decided to do something about it. Now, it does. I've only had a few minutes in the sun to test it out, but it certainly makes it much easier to use. I'll keep testing it and decide if I need to increase the size of the shield to better cover the screen. If that's what I end up doing, you'll see an update here. To attach it, I first slid the right side in, then snapped the left side into place. Next, I slid the cover down another 1 cm or so to fit it over the screen. The LCD screen still moves freely, but it no longer sits flush against the camera. It sticks out about 7 mm. Also, the menu and option buttons are just slightly covered - not enough to bother me. Just thought I'd mention it in case you think there was a printing mistake. This particular design was specifically made to fit around the LCD screen of the NEX-5. That model has a screen that pulls out and rotates up and down. If you need this for a different model, you'll have to check the STL file to see if it will work. If you're still unsure, print just the clip-on part and stop the print to try it out. Instructions: The STL file needs to be rotated 90 degrees so that the top part is flat on the bed. Then, you can print the whole thing without supports. I used 0.2 mm at 50 mm/s.
