The Sony MDR-XB950BT Headphones are a real treat, delivering top-notch comfort and sound quality, but it's clear they're not built to last.\r\n\r\nI bought two pairs, and both broke in identical fashion.\r\n\r\nThe hinges that hold the earpieces in place on either end of the headband are notoriously prone to snapping off, making repairs a real challenge.\r\n\r\nTo get them back in working order, you'll need to carefully cut away the broken hinge from the black plastic piece, taking care not to damage the delicate wire.\r\n\r\nNext, apply some superglue to attach the replacement hinges to the end of that piece, making sure the wire passes through the middle hole without getting stuck to the new parts.\r\n\r\nLet the glue dry completely before reattaching the earpiece bracket to the hinge as it was meant to be.\r\n\r\nI've just finished repairing mine, and it looks good as new. Whether this fix will last long-term is anyone's guess, but at the very least you won't need to rush out and buy a replacement.\r\n\r\nImportant note: The files included are designed specifically for fixing the right earpiece.\r\nTo repair the left one, you'll need to mirror these parts in your slicer software.\r\n\r\nUpdate 04/04/2019:\r\nI've added an extra file with a single-piece swivel that might be a better option if you also need to replace the bracket that holds the actual headpiece (check out thing:2733958 on Thingiverse for more info).\r\n\r\n#
