Sony HDR-AS15 Windscreen/Lens Guard for tripod mount
thingiverse
Promised accessory designed specifically to fit the tripod mount of my recent remix. Nub locks the cover in place over the edge of the control button window by grasping it firmly with a secure hold. Foam insert is cut with a sharp razor knife blade slightly larger than the opening, then pulled through with precision using tweezers. It should extend beyond the openings to create a protective wind bubble in front of the camera, yet not so far that it comes into view of the lens. Lens guard can easily be extended and flared in Sketchup to receive a flat or dome glass protector if desired. To stay out of the lens field of view, it must be very shallow. Original Sketchup 2015 file is included for reference. Print Settings Printer Brand: RepRap Printer: Prusa i3 clone Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.1 Infill: 40-50% Notes: 0.4mm nozzle for optimal performance. For PLA printing, I use 60C bed temperature and 215C nozzle temperature at a speed of 80mm/s. Support material is printed with a 19% grid pattern. The first layer has a thickness of 0.2mm, while shell walls and top/bottom layers have a thickness of 0.8mm for added strength.
