Sony FX6 Hoodman H32MB Loupe Adapter & Body
thingiverse
This adapter allows you to mount a Hoodman H32MB Loupe to a Sony FX6. It is similar to my other model (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4791597), but also includes a replacement for the Hoodman body. This model is lighter but is hard to print and post process as you need to use supports. I also see more light reflection from the internal barrel. To mound the setup, all you will need is: - Print the adapter and body: - 2 x O-Rings (20-25mm) or equivalent to mount it to the FX6 screen - 2 x O-Rings (12-15mm x 2mm) or ewuivalent to attach the optics to the new body (you will need to remove the original & easily broken plastic clips) - 2 x M3 25mm nuts/bolts or equivalent for the hinge This is my first Loupe, so while I've nothing to compare it to, my first impressions are positive: - It is much better/clearer using the Loupe without my reading glasses than the Screen with reading glasses - Is firmly attached, and flips up - The adapter itself is only 8mm so a lot smaller then the stock FX6 sun shade - The loupe + adapter + body weighs 120g and their is no issue with FX6 screen drooping Eye position does seems to matter else edges can be soft with chromatic aberration - I'm going to have to change my rig around about so that it falls more naturally to where my right eye is when using my "el cheapo" shoulder rig. Edit: I've uploaded a Alt version which should be easer to print with custom support for the hooks (note: you will still need "Support from base plate" Edit: Optional Eye Cap / Flap / Cover is here - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4794805 Hinge is from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2187167/comments
