This is an excellent and budget-friendly solution to monitor yourself with a Sony mirrorless camera without needing an external display to check your focus or composition. You can see what's on the screen including metadata and audio levels with this solution. It's perfect for vloggers and helps preserve battery life. The Sony a6300 and a6500 are notorious because of their overheating issues, but using an external monitor or remote screen from the playmemories app usually consumes more battery and ends up overheating the device. Using this custom mirror won't affect battery life in any way. The only downside is that the specular image and metadata will be reversed.
