This is a sturdy mount designed for the Sony Action Camera model HDR-AS20, but it may also accommodate other models with identical dimensions. The mount features standard ¼”-20 threaded nut receptacles on all sides, top, and bottom, allowing for versatile camera attachment options. Strategically cut-out openings provide unobstructed access to the screen, microphone jack, and micro-USB port. The Camera securely clicks into place within the shell, resisting even intense vibrations and g-forces without any need for additional restraints – although a ¼” bolt can be inserted through one of the spare mounting holes to serve as an extra securing measure. Extensive use in high-performance vehicles has consistently demonstrated this mount's superiority over the Sony cage mount, yielding noticeably enhanced video quality due to its increased rigidity.
