I fabricated this holder from Jain's provided design that didn't feature a gimbal. It includes a receptacle for a square nut which inserts securely into the housing accompanied by a precisely aligned hole accommodating the standard 1/4-20 tripod screw. I suggest reinforcing it with a tiny drop of CA to prevent the nut from loosening and falling out during installation or removal. In addition, placing a zip tie over the whole assembly ensures safety while mounting it on my quadcopter.
