Sony A6000 LCD Self Portrait / Selfie Mirror
thingiverse
Upgrading from the A5100 to the A6000, I found myself missing one key feature: tilting the screen all the way up and seeing exactly what the camera sees for flawless framing and focus. Every online solution fell short - no one suggested anything remotely practical. I considered getting an HDMI display, but that would only add more batteries and wires to my setup. What a hassle! Some people told me I was being lazy for wanting to take selfies, but they just didn't get it. Others recommended using my phone over Wi-Fi, but that idea was laughable - zero convenience or reliability in sight. So, I took matters into my own hands and created a custom mirror and holder. It works perfectly! I printed the setup on my Makergear M2 using PETG, although I still need to fine-tune my settings. To keep the LCD from sagging, I used a low infill percentage - every gram counts when it comes to stability. The mirror itself was laser-cut from 1/8" mirrored acrylic.
