The sony a6000 cannot be set to use the viewfinder only for framing. When set to viewfinder, settings and playback are also displayed in the viewfinder. If set to auto, the display turns on and off continuously as you approach or move away from the sensor. I built this curtain that goes on the flash shoe to keep the viewfinder always on in automatic mode. When I want to review photos or go into settings, I swipe it.
