SONOSTALGIE: Loewe Opta Tempo 92005 upgrade with Symfonisk
thingiverse
Upgraded my dad's old radio Loewe Opta Tempo 92005 with an Ikea Symfonisk (SONOS compatible) speaker. Symfonisk hack. - removed the old speaker chassis and elektronics - needed to squeeze the speaker chassis and the bass-reflex-tube into the Loewe radio box. - mounting for speaker chassis and bass-reflex-tube made out of wood - the receiver dials and volume potentiometer board was covered with a self printed plastic cover - the back cover was doubled with another wooden plate - the box is not really accustically closed, the back cover has some small open vents (would be better to close them) - the front plastic cover of receiver dials is loose and creates some disturbence sounds at high volumes *the whole thing was inspired by https://makezine.com/2019/08/16/hacking-the-sonos-ikea-symfonisk-into-a-high-quality-speaker-amp/*
