SONOFF SNZB03 ceiling mount with AAA power
thingiverse
This is an alternative housing for the SONOFF SNZB03 motion sensor. Main change from the original housing, is the ability to use 2x AAA batteries instead of the (expensive) CR2450 cell. The resulting voltage for the litle mainboard is 2.7V, but the SONOFF seems to still work well. Note that this thing requires you to solder, source heatshrink and 2x AAA battery holders. Disclaimer: I take no responsibility for broken main boards. **Make sure that you solder the wires according to the correct polarity!** Not sure what I was thinking, but I managed to wire & solder one sensor the wrong way, resulting in the mainboard heating up, blistering my thumb during (dis)assembly of the sensor. This thing gets HOT when wired incorrectly.
