Sonoff S26 Reprogramming jig

In order for a Sonoff S26 Wi-Fi controlled plug to be reprogrammed with new firmware, connections must be made to the tiny pads on the Wi-Fi board. This can only be done by someone who understands the safety requirements and dangers involved in undertaking this kind of work, as it involves working with mains-powered devices. The small spring-loaded pins (pogo connectors) used for this purpose are P50-B1, measuring 0.68mm in diameter and 16mm in length, with a spring pressure of 75g. Several tutorials describe this process, including one found at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEjJJtWy34k. Tazmotiser was used to flash the firmware, available for PC at https://github.com/tasmota/tasmotizer and for Mac courtesy of SiyTek at https://siytek.com/download-tasmotize. This method is an alternative to soldering to the pads, although it may be a bit hit-or-miss depending on how well the pins are kept in contact with the pads. The pins that pass through the alignment jig will be loose; either carefully glue them or apply heat shrink as insulation cover, making them thicker than trying to print tiny holes. Then solder the wires that will connect to the programmer. The end of the jig slips over the end of the circuit board, ensuring the pins are landing on the pads before adding power. Follow one of the many online tutorials for guidance.
