Sonoff S26 pogo-pin flash adapter
thingiverse
I purchased a pair of Sonoff S26 Wi-Fi plugs. These devices are equipped with an ESP8266 Wi-Fi chip and can be reprogrammed with custom firmware. I wanted to flash them with Tasmota firmware, but I didn't want to attach wires to each one individually, so I designed a pogo-pin flash adapter. This adapter is built for use with my FTDI USB-to-TTL serial converter. The converter has 3.3V pins for communication (RX/TX, etc.) and 5V for power. Since the ESP8266 chip requires 3.3V for both power and GPIOs, I designed the flash adapter to contain a voltage regulator (FTDI 5V -> voltage regulator -> 3.3V Sonoff ESP8266).
