This part is a drop-in replacement for the bottom part of the Sonoff mini case.

It snap-fits with the original top part.

It allows for easy mount to [something] with 4 screws.

Also, because I think the sonoff mini is extremely unsafe device (terminal screws easily accessible, not covered with anything), I added a cover plate, that makes it a a bit more safe.

As always, this is a device that operates on mains power (110V/230V), so it can be deadly if something goes wrong. Don't play with sonoff if you don't know what you're doing, depending on your country, you might need to call in a skilled electrician to install it.

Again - BE CAREFUL!

This is not arduino with USB power, this is a 230V, and not a very safe one. It can and WILL kill you, when you're not careful.

Never install/modify when plugged. Pull the plug of the wall socket, then play with it.

Print Settings

Printer:

DIY

Rafts:

No

Supports:

No

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

25%

Filament:
OWL PLA
Black

Notes:

The cover can print at 0.3 (or higher), no supports if your printer don't have bridging issues. You might need to rotate it in slicer -90 degrees along X-axis (so the flaps are vertical and it stands on the plate with the "open" part.
Also use brim for cover plate, I used 3mm brim.
For the backplate - the side notches do require 0.2mm or smaller, rest doesn't care,

so either print at 0.2 (0.15mm), or use adaptive slicing/set layers around those side notch finer, and print rest at 0.3mm.

The screw holes are meant for taping, simply forcing screw inside might break the part.

I just used lighter and screwed in a hot screw, but proper taping with proper tools might be better idea.

Category: Electronics
