Sonoff Enclosure with Push Button and Strain Relief
thingiverse
This is an enclosure designed specifically for the Sonoff 10A Wifi controlled switch. The Sonoff module's popularity stems from its affordable price, but it has a significant limitation - it only allows splicing into two-wire cables that lack grounding. If you need to control an outlet requiring a ground wire, you'll have to route this wire outside of the Sonoff module, compromising aesthetics and potentially safety. This enclosure addresses these concerns by accommodating the Sonoff module along with all necessary wiring while adding reinforced cable strain reliefs for enhanced safety. The strain relief requires only a minimal zip tie, no screws needed. This enclosure also preserves manual control functionality by integrating a simple push button. Simply position the button within the case before closing it to enable operation of the Sonoff module's built-in push button from inside the enclosure. The Sonoff module features a green control LED that indicates its switch status, and this enclosure includes an area with a thin wall for the LED to shine through. If using non-translucent filament, you can modify the scad file by uncommenting the corresponding line to create an actual hole for the LED.
