Sonoff Basic WiFi Switch Case

The sleek rounded case for the Sonoff Basic WiFi Smart Switch is a true work of art. The white molded plastic housing of the Sonoff WiFi switch may be functional, but it's not exactly eye-catching. However, when you're using this switch to control something as stylish as a decorative lamp, its lackluster design becomes painfully apparent. The bright green LED on top of the switch is quite useful for pairing purposes, but at night it can become a major distraction when trying to get some shut-eye. To turn appliances on and off while the Sonoff switch is safely enclosed, simply apply force down to the small black button on the switch using the oval-shaped button located at the top of the case. This clever design allows for effortless control even with the switch hidden away. For a more polished look, consider gluing the tail end of the oval button to the inside of the lid as shown in the illustration. By doing so, you can create a seamless and professional finish. One great way to give your enclosure a wood-like appearance is to print it using wood-infused filament and then apply a wood stain to really make it pop. To add an extra touch of sophistication, print the button out of black ABS and sand down the top to create a smooth surface. The OpenSCAD source code is included, so you can easily customize this case to fit larger or smaller switches as needed.
