This is a highly detailed and textured model of a sonobuoy that accurately captures its complex features. The sonobuoys are ejected from aircraft in specialized canisters designed for deployment. Upon water impact, the buoys rapidly deploy their inflatable surface floats with integrated radio transmitters to establish real-time communication with the parent aircraft.
